The landlords, Kennedy Ucheagwu, Dr. Omololu Bello, Fidelis Esang and their trainer Oni, were kidnapped by gunmen dressed in military camouflages at Oshorun Heritage Estate, Isheri.

The Nation reports that their abductors initially demanded N300 million as ransom for each of them but the amount was later reduced to N20million.

The gunmen who are suspected to be mostly young boys and their messenger identified as Mary, have been tracked by the police through the telephone number they used in contacting victims’ relatives.

The Nation stated that that security agencies would have rescued the victims two days after the abduction, but had hitches as the kidnappers were also changing their location.

Confirming the release of the victims, spokesman for the estate association said they got home at the wee hours of Friday, September 23.

In a related development, the New Haven Estate has been gripped with fear following the abduction of three landlords by armed men who disguised as soldiers and suspected to be militants.

The Punch reports that the militants invaded the estate located in Igbelaju, in the Iba area of Lagos on Saturday and on Monday.

During the first attack on Saturday, the suspected militants abducted one Mrs. Nwoche from her residence and she has yet to be released.

Two days after, they struck again and abducted two landlords who were driving out of the estate and ordered them to the creek at gunpoint.
