This has a huge implication for both of the companies. Intel’s stock price took a hit after the report was published because according to the reports, Apple provides almost 5% of the annual revenue of Intel. Apart from the processors in Macs, Apple also uses Intel’s modem chips in a few iPhones. The last major Mac processor transition of this magnitude made by Apple happened when it moved away from IBM’s PowerPC chips
